What does the retainer not cover?
Application code changes, new feature development, and migrations to new platforms are separate scopes. The retainer covers operating what exists, not building what is new.
What is your incident response time?
For our Managed Operations and White-Glove tiers: 1-hour acknowledgment for P1 incidents. For our basic Monitoring retainer: 2-hour acknowledgment during business hours. Response time commitments are written into the contract before signing.
Do you mark up the cloud bill?
Never. Your cloud account is billed directly by the provider at their published prices. Our retainer is a separate, flat engineering fee. You will never see a line item from us for infrastructure you already pay for.
How do we hand off an existing environment to you?
We do a two-week environment onboarding audit before the retainer starts. We document the current state, identify gaps, and agree on what is in scope before any money changes hands.
